“A Rose is still a Rose”

I graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in the fall of 2009 with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing.I had every intention of making use of the skills I attained during my college career. However, While I somewhat paved a cookie cutter path for my life by putting my degree to use and diving head first into the corporate world, the lingering desire to begin my own business resonated with me. Even though I had bigger plans, I accepted a supervisorial role with a company that I’ve been with for 2.5 years. The hardwork I invested paid off and I was successful but still thirsty for something more.I longed to fill my creative void. I am a woman who has a passion for fashion, and an eye for quality designs. Enter Tainted Rose. With the support from my dear friend and Cousin, Brittney Joshua, I was inspired to begin my own company in the spring of 2011. My accessory line has far exceeded my expectations for success and it will far exceed my client’s expectations for beautiful yet affordable accessories. Tainted Rose is versatile enough to accommodate the fashion sides that every lady has from the corporate woman to the sassy vixen. My jewelry and hand bags will make a statement and give off the “I have arrived” aura every time you enter a room. Tainted Rose took off with a jewelry party that I hosted (Shop and Sip) and due to the outstanding support and abundance of orders I received from my first clients, I embarked on the journey of creating my own website. Since then, my clientele has sky rocketed and I have been blessed with the opportunity to serve as a vendor for local fashion events all over Arkansas. My next endeavor will be to take the steps in eventually opening my own boutique! The creation of Tainted Rose originates with the metaphor that we women are viewed as roses (beautiful and delicate) but become tainted through life experience.We are sometimes thrown into situations that take away our innocence. Ladies, with each and every event that occurs in our life we will inevitably become TAINTED but rest assure, we are still Roses and we need to look the part! With that being said....GET TAINTED!
